Back in April we heard the talk around town…”the Aurora Street Festival is a ‘must-go’…vendors galore, entertainment, and fun for the whole family!”. So as a new shop in town, and as new members of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, we were very excited about this year’s event.

We awoke on June 7th to weather that was picture-perfect, and despite some fleeting concerns that our new tent ‘part A’ would connect nicely to tent ‘part B’, the setup went without a hitch.  11:00 a.m. arrived and, like magic, Yonge St. transformed into a colorful sea of people. It was incredible to see the roadway so full and so many smiling faces! At our La Jolie booth, the children enjoyed their cowbells and had a hoot with the slap bracelets; and many friendly people dropped by to wish us well and to “talk cheese”. I would have to certainly say that the two most frequent questions were:

1) What is your favorite cheese?

….To which I could seriously answer “ALL” (:   …(but if I have to choose, my current personal star sits beside any of the Poitou/Loire Valley goat cheeses)… and…

2) Do you carry fresh Bufala Mozzarella and Burrata?

…YES !..we now receive these wonderful fresh cheeses every second Wednesday as FLY-INs from Italy! (noting to please call to confirm as they can potentially sell out incredibly quickly!).
