On October 3rd we were both thrilled and privileged to be a part of the Saint Andrew’s College Homecoming Weekend. La Jolie Cheese Shop is very close in proximity to the beautiful and historic grounds of SAC, a college that is recognized worldwide for it’s foundation, tradition, and standards of excellence. It was therefore with great pleasure and anticipation that we put together a selection of individual cheeses, boards, and ancillary items for our table and for our participation at the annual Marketplace.

And what an outstanding event it was… The excitement and energy of families and students was contagious! The passion and profusion of red and white filling StauntonGallery was mesmerizing.

The day flew by but was pleasantly punctuated with conversations about our shop and about cheese in general. It seems that many of the attendees are great fromage afficionados! It was particularly interesting and fun to share stories of world destinations and associated cheese explorations.

I truly wish to thank the SAC Parent’s Guild Homecoming Committee… the coordinators and the organizers … for their warm invitation and friendly welcome. It was great to be a part of your special event and an honor to spend a day as a guest with our very distinguished neighbors.
