In visiting past and previous blogs, many of our customers have noted that they have been intrigued by the subject of “the world’s most expensive cheese”…  https://lajoliecheeseshop.ca/worlds-most-expensive-cheese/   ..and it was a surprise to them that the title is held by a cheese made from the milk of the infamous donkey.

As you may know too, we at La Jolie have a general soft-spot for the four-legged friends that add so much to this world. Unfortunately, along with the joy that surrounds them, many sad stories can also be told. In the case of donkeys, this is no exception. Thankfully there are two very dedicated groups in Ontario that come to the rescue:
