CORONATION

April 27, 2023

May the sixth will see the coronation of King Charles III. It has been written as a once-in-a-lifetime event; a day of celebration and of pomp and ceremonies. It is the time-held tradition of the passing down of the throne of England to the heir. But this time round it is not without a deluge of polarized online opinions. In noting this, I felt it best to present the opinions of others, inclusive of King Charles himself.

“A world without her in it just isn’t the same. Her smile, her voice, her guidance and leadership kept us moving in the right direction. I am glad that important projects continue with Charles.”     …S.L.

“That we loved the Queen means we love her Legacy as the Legacy given to her. We move on as in any family with any loss. We reaffirm with gifted reality.”     …T.M.

“I find myself born into this position. I’m determined to make the most of it. And to do whatever I can to help. And I hope I leave things behind a little bit better than I found them.”      …King Charles III

“In carrying out the heavy task that has been laid upon me, to which I dedicate of what remains to me of my life, I pray for the guidance and help of Almighty God.”     …King Charles III

“In a world driven by mass confusion, let us not lose our ability to recognize and honor dedicated work and good intention.”     …J.K.

“The future of mankind can be assured only if we rediscover ways in which to live as part of nature, not apart from her.”  …King Charles III
