Camembert

One of the more famous French cheeses, it is recognized by its round wooden box.  The flavour of camembert is fruity with a slight aroma of mushrooms and mold. The surface is soft and white while the texture varies with aging, becoming softer over time.

How to Enjoy:

Serve alone, with fresh baguette or crackers. It is also a favourite on cheese boards. Unlike Brie, it is not traditionally baked or warmed, but brought to room temperature brings out the subtle flavours. Best with a fruity Burgundy wine or a traditional Normandy cider.
