Brie de Meaux AOC

Brie de Meaux originates in Ile-de-France just east of Paris.  It is probably the strongest of all the soft white cheeses with an aroma of damp leaves and mold.  At its peak, it shows a glossy pale yellow-coloured soft interior. The characteristic flavour is that of smokey wild mushrooms.  The texture becomes more runny with age.

How to Enjoy:

Brie is at its best if allowed to reach room temperature or warmed before serving. We recommend a red Cotes du Rhone or Bordeauz, or perhaps on celebratory occasions, a glass of vintage champagne.
