Soft chevre is one of many unique, handcrafted goat milk cheeses from David Wood’s Salt Spring Island Cheese Company located among the Gulf Islands between Vancouver Island and mainland British Columbia. All are made by hand using traditional methods and only natural ingredients. They are beautifully packaged in small round containers designed to display a variety of garnishes including edible flowers, basil, and lemon. This soft, pasteurized, unripened chevre is smooth and creamy with a hint of tanginess.
How To Enjoy:
Lovely for gift giving, and fabulous for a centrepiece when entertaining, serve on a simple cracker, fresh baguette, or perhaps alongside of smoked salmon or melted on vegetables. Folded into an omelet is a popular alternative. Pairs well with a drier, crisp white wine or any brut Champagne-method bubbly.
