Mozzarella di Bufala PDO

Fresh buffalo mozzarella has a delicate taste that is sweet, milky and buttery. When cut it has a grainy texture composed of many layers. This is a sign of “pasta filata” cheese, the curds having been spun and stretched into balls.  Authentic mozzarela has the earthy, mossy aroma typical of buffalo’s milk.

How to Enjoy:

One main role of this cheese is to add texture and to intensify the juices and ingredients of the dish at hand. It is perfection on pizza, luscious in salads with olive oil, and great baked on eggplant or vegetable of choice.
