Garrotxa

This small, round, one kilogram goat cheese is a newer artisanal introduction from Spain. First produced in 1981, it has gained worldwide attention for the lovely semi-soft interior and subtle goat flavour holding nut and herbal notes. A wonderful addition to the charcuterie or cheese board, the flavour profile has mass appeal while offering a semi-soft alternative to cow milk cheese. The rustic gray rind contrasting to the light delicate interior, and the overall bowling ball size, guarantee second takes and conversation.

How To Enjoy:

Before dinner Garrotxa matches nicely with olives as an appetizer. Serve after the meal with walnuts to complement the nutty nuances. Pair with a robust white wine to balance with the creamy goat overtones.
