Brebirousse

The name translated literally means “red sheep”, and such describes the appearance of this beautiful soft cheese with the lovely annatto-tinged rind. It is sure to please with a creamy paste that is luscious and silky, and full flavoured enough for the most discerning palate.  Made in Lyon, France of pasteurised sheep milk, Brebirousse is savoury, nutty, and complex.

How To Enjoy:

Try on fresh baguette, on the lunch or evening desert plate with fresh apricots, or perhaps with a drizzle of earthy chestnut honey to bring out more intensity.  Enjoy with a bubbly cuvee blanc or a lightly fruity Cotes du Rhone. Pairs nicely with a desert or late harvest wine too.
